"I grew up on a small island off the coast of New Brunswick, Canada. My dad is a lobster fisherman, I had nineteen people in my graduating class, and I learned to bait a lobster trap when I was 6 years old. Because of this, I am humbled by the simplicities in life and am amazed that Creation can provide endless opportunities even in the most mundane of things.
I have always been captivated by the stories written on peoples faces. I am a portrait photographer at heart, if I can't evoke an emotion of some sort in a photo, I don't want to take it. So I guess I am not really into taking pictures of fruit!
I have an amazing life because I am living passionately through my work. I have two amazing business partners, my husband Brad and Jeremy. We are the three amigos and we push each other towards the edge, barely close enough to get that crazy shot without breaking our necks."...Nicole Wolf
SOTA opened a photography and design Studio in 2001 in Washington, DC and three years ago branched out to the Chicago area. They are commercial photographers and graphic designers who decided that they would "stir up" the traditional views of wedding photography. Taking from their editorial, portrait and design backgrounds and transferring those over to wedding photography. They offer work that is stylized, creative and locations like you have never seen! Their main goal is for their clients to milk them for all they are worth and remember the experience for a lifetime. SOTA is based in DC and Chicago but travel worldwide.
